- Refined Engine - The 2025 VW Taos offers an updated turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder TSI® engine that delivers more horsepower, a total of 174 horsepower. Hardware changes include revised piston rings and fuel injectors, a modified turbo housing, a larger intercooler, and a new gasoline particulate filter. These performance tweaks promise better fuel efficiency and a more refined driving experience.
- All-Wheel Drive (AWD) Improvements - 4Motion® all-wheel-drive models are now equipped with a conventional eight-speed automatic transmission. The enhanced system provides improved traction and stability.
