2026 Volkswagen SUVs
Atlas & Atlas Cross Sport
The Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport received an interior and engine refresh in 2024, so changes are minimal for the 2026 model year. Each model is available in five trims with the Atlas offering SE, SE with Technology, Peak Edition, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. The Atlas Cross Sport includes SE, SE with Technology, SEL, SEL R-Line Black, and SEL Premium R-Line. SE with Technology models and above come with HomeLink® mirrors factory-installed.
Taos
This compact SUV underwent a major refresh for 2025, featuring upgraded technology, modern styling, and key powertrain updates. There are four trim levels for the 2026 model year: S, SE, SE Black, and SEL. Updates include standard rear-seat pretensioners and wireless charging enhanced to 15W mid-model year. Top-of-the-line SEL models are now equipped with an eight-speaker premium VW audio system.
Tiguan
The compact Tiguan SUV was all-new for 2025, boasting more power, improved fuel efficiency, and enhanced safety features, alongside a premium cabin and an expressive exterior. Since it received several updates last year, the 2026 Tiguan has minimal updates. Trims for 2026 include S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and a new SEL R-Line Turbo. The latter features a new 268-horsepower 2.0-liter EA888 evo5 engine, and all trims are equipped with a revised Travel Assist system that includes Assisted Lane Change.
2026 Volkswagen Cars
Golf GTI & Golf R
Like other models in the VW lineup, these hot hatches got a fresh look, enhanced technology, and a power bump for model year 2025, so changes are minimal for 2026. Golf GTI models continue to be available in S, SE, and Autobahn trims. The Golf R is available as the standard model only, with an available Euro Style Package, and Graphite Gray Metallic as a new exterior color.
Jetta & Jetta GLI
Another model that got a refresh in 2025, the Jetta is available in five trims for 2026: S, Sport, SE, SEL, and GLI Autobahn. Rear-seat pretensioners are now standard, and SE models now have a standard sunroof. SEL and GLI Autobahn models feature a premium VW audio system with eight speakers, with the GLI Autobahn now equipped with push-button controls on the steering wheel.
2026 Volkswagen Electric Vehicle
ID.4
Volkswagen's all-electric 2024 82-kWh battery models received substantial upgrades in 2024, including a revised infotainment system, updated software, a new rear electric motor (boosting power to 282 horsepower for RWD and 335 horsepower for AWD), and an improved EPA-estimated range of 291 miles for the Pro RWD.
For 2026, the ID.4 will be available in five trims: Entry (Pro, AWD Pro), S (Pro S, AWD Pro S), and S Plus (AWD Pro S Plus). S Plus models will receive a factory-installed HomeLink mirror. A mid-model-year update in 2026 will introduce additional standard features, with details to be released closer to the launch.
ID. Buzz
This head-turning bus, introduced in 2025, brought the classic Microbus into the modern era. Information on the 2026 ID. Buzz has yet to be released.
